The Dreyfoos Dance Department instructs approximately 170 students in ballet, choreography, jazz and modern dance. The department has been recognized nationally for its outstanding program.
In the spring of 2008, Juilliard accepted 24 dancers in its freshman class, 12 men and 12 women. Two of those men are from the Dreyfoos Dance Department.
