The key to long-term success of the Dreyfoos School of the Arts and the School of the Arts Foundation, however, continues to be endowment. A strong endowment will enable the Dreyfoos School to:
· improve teaching and learning
· ensure further academic advancement of our students through the provision of scholarships
· remain impervious to fluctuations in state and district funding for arts education
Total endowment for the School of the Arts Foundation now stands at only $1.5 million and produces income that provides only a small fraction of the Foundation’s funding needs. A long term goal is to have an endowment of $10,000,000 which would provide support in perpetuity for the school’s greatest needs.
